The unification of two apartments created a gastronomy-focused, customized living space in the heart of Pécs.
The clients’ outstanding professional background in gastronomy fundamentally shaped the design approach: the concept was built around the intersection of home and professional kitchen. Entry leads directly into a generously open kitchen–dining area, where the show kitchen equipped with professional culinary technology evokes both communal use and a restaurant-like atmosphere. This zone becomes the organizational heart of the home, giving access to the living room, children’s room, and parents’ bedroom, all oriented toward the street frontage.
Preserving the character of the large-scale spaces typical of early 20th-century apartments, flexible glass partitions subtly yet decisively define the use of space, allowing visual and functional transparency. Within the connected layout, the section facing the inner courtyard accommodates the guest room, wardrobes, storage, and household area.
A key value of the collaborative design process is the harmonious symbiosis between bespoke objects and spatial organization, creating an exciting reference for personalized architectural thinking.
